Black & grey realism tattoos in Orlando, FL
Realism worked entirely in black ink and diluted washes — no color to lean on, so every bit of depth has to come from the shading itself. It is the bulk of the work in this portfolio.

What the style asks for
Black and grey lives or dies on value: how dark the darks go, how clean the mid-tones stay, and how much bare skin is left to read as highlight. Because there is no color separating one shape from another, contrast does all the work, which is why these pieces are built in passes rather than finished area by area.
How it ages
Black and grey generally holds its read longer than color does. Soft grey washes are the part that softens first, so the work here is planted with darks that hold the structure once the mid-tones settle — the piece still reads from across a room years later.
